Program objectives and description

To develop series data on water temperature in the Yukon River and its tributaries within TKC Traditional Territory in order to monitor impacts of climate change, with specific focus on chinook salmon migration and spawning. In 2010, data loggers were installed in a number of locations on the river itself, on tributaries, and in groundwater seepage areas. The data loggers measure temperature within 0.2 degrees C, every hour.
